To begin, let me tell you briefly who was Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Kwame Nkrumah was born on 21st September, 1909 and died on 27th April, 1972. He was a politician and he is credited as the father of Ghana due to his role which led to the Independence of Ghana in 1957.
He is also known as an astute advocate of Pan-Africanism, he co - founded the Organisation of African Unity and won the Lenin Peace Prize in 1962. He was overthrew through Coup d'tat in 1966 by National Liberation Council under the supervision of international financial institutions. Nkrumah spent the rest of his life in Guinea, where he was awarded a honorary co-president until he died in 1972 at Romania.
