In this series of articles, I am sharing with you a true story as told by the Late Apostle Stephen Sintim Koree about a Christian Persecution which arose between Pentecostal and traditionalists of the Nzemaland in the Western Region of God during of the Kundum festival.

God, in the course of these events demonstrated His majestic power on behalf of all the Christians who stood firm for their faith, and in turn, meted justice to those who blasphemed and profaned His name. This resulted in the death of more than one hundred people under mysterious circumstances, thus, putting fear in the hearts of those who thought that the Christian God of yesterday is dead.

Stephen Sintim-Koree was a minister of The Church of Pentecost who served in various capacities and pastured many branches for over  twenty-seven years in six of the church’s demarcated districts in Ghana. These include Aburi-Akuapim, Koforidua West, Half- Assini, Sefwi-Bekwai and Lartebiokorshie, Accra.

He also served as the National Head and a Missionary for the Church in the Republic of Guinea for five years. He is, currently, the District Pastor for Kasoa New Town in the Central Region. Rev. Sintim-Koree has been a regular speaker on the all-night programmes on the Kiunasi-based FM station, Kapital Radio, formerly hosted by Bishop Joshua Kas-Vorsah.

He worked with the Electricity Company of Ghana in Akwatia, in the Eastem Region, in 1979. He also worked with the then Standard Bank Ghana Ltd. (now Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Ltd.), from 1980 to 1986 as a banker. Rev. Sintim-Koree holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from the Pentecost University College. He is married to Kate Abena Asantewaa Osafo.
