How you can burn mp3 for personal entertainment

Entertainment always begins with yourself, your computer can always serve as a source of entertainment.   There are times you may want to select some tracks on your PC  to burn a music CD. 




We are going to look at how to create a collections of music tracks, set up volume   levels and then, burn the Playlist to an audio CD.

A Media Player is a software which can organize media files, decode them to produce music sound. They have a Playlist function. This is where the journey to burn personal music files begins. We are using windows  Media Player. 


Start the Media Player and click the Library button to display music files saved on your PC. You find these file organized under  Artist, Album or Song Title. 

The collection  contains shortcuts to the files as stored on your PC. 




A Playlist is a collection of music files that can be played  continuously on your device. Click the Create Playlist button. The new playlist appears on your left sidebar as an untitled playlist. You may rename it. You can drag music files into your created Playlist. When you also load tracks by pressing Shift on the keyboard and double clicking a song. 


You can also filter through the search box to track the favorite songs.  By holding the Control Key on the keyboard while clicking on tracks is the easiest way to load a playlist. 

After selecting the tracks,  right-click one of the selected tracks and hit Add to Playlist from the pop-up menu. 

You can  Click the Library button to Create Auto Playlist. 


How to initial 

After compiling your playlist open Windows Media Player, and open your Music Library. Click on the Burn tab in the menu. An empty Burn list shall open up in a pop up. 

 Add your Playlist by clicking on it to load them in Burn list, and the list will display individual tracks of which you remove tracks you don't want in the Burn List. You can rearrange the tracks or delete some or add more tracks to the Burn list. 

You would need two CDs if your Burn list containing more than 80 minutes of music. Tracks that are in either WMA, MP3, or WAV file formats could be used. They will all be burned on the disk in CDA format, CD Audio format. 

Setting Up Volume


Volume leveling levels the volume of the burn tracks, you will not like any song to be louder or softer than the others.  You must turn on  volume leveling. This feature works only for MP3 and WMA files, due to a special data key for volume containing in these file types. 

 To avoid computer freeze up during a burn process, reduce the burning speed using Burn Options Menu. You can rename your Music CD by clicking Burn List and replace it with your name. Now hit Start Burn button to start burning process.

Once the burning starts, you must not open the CD drawer, neither should you hit  Stop Burn button.  Though you can later work on it, the CD will be unusable. You cannot reuse a CD-R disc. The CD drawer will open by itself when burning is complete. Then you can try by playing it. Once it plays in you computer you are set to use it in any other CD player.



How to burn tracks without using playlist

Follow the following steps to do this;


1. Open the Media Player and your Music Library. 

2. Click on the Burn button for an empty Burn List. 

3. Turn on Volume Leveling.

4. Drag tracks from your library, into the Burn List. Add the tracks you want, and verify that the total time is under 80 minutes. 

5. Rename the Burn List.




How to duplicate a free Music CD

1. Rip a music CD, the tracks will be copied to in your computer music library. 

2. Clear every Burn list if necessary by clicking the delete symbol. 

3. Locate the ripped music CD in your music library, using right click, choose Add to Burn List from the pop-up menu. 

4. The Burn list is populated with track from the album. You can reorder, delete or add more tracks if you wish.
